I think this is a Bolete mushroom. I tried identifying it, but mushrooms are extra sneaky. There are so many species and sub-species and I’m not a mushroom expert. But I do think it is really cute. It’s one of just about a million in my neighborhood and they are a nice bonus to look at on walks. I sent these cards mostly to friends and family this year, surprised a neighbor I hadn’t met with one, (I got a sweet note back from her on my door). I printed just a few more to send for postcrossings, just enough time before the season changes to use this cutie again.
